Ingredients:
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly
Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened
Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, cooked chicken, and broccoli florets
Pour the sauce over the rice, chicken, and broccoli mixture and mix well
Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top
Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly
